Official | Lyon’s Romain Faivre loaned to Lorient

Lorient have announced the six-month loan of out-of-favour Lyon attacking midfielder Romain Faivre (24), with no permanent option has inserted into the deal. Les Merlus have reportedly paid €1m for the loan move of the former Stade Brestois playmaker. Ligue 1’s sixth-placed side are a major player in this transfer window, with the Brittany outfit selling promising winger Dango Ouattara (20) to Premier League side Bournemouth in a €27m deal. Lorient have this Friday announced the signing of OM Senegalese international striker Bamba Dieng (22) for a fee reported to be set at aroud €7m, a figure which can potentially rise to €10m when add-ons are included.

This Saturday, Faivre’s arrival was made official. The player Lyon paid €18m for since his breakout performances with Brest will try to revive his career with the Régis Le Bris-led side.
