This Week’s Impact Wrestling Draws Lowest Viewership Ever on POP TV

According to ShowBuzz Daily, this week’s edition of Impact Wrestling, which featured the crowning of a new Knockouts Champion in Laurel Van Ness, averaged 161,000 viewers. This week’s number is down significantly from last week’s 226,000 viewership average.

This week’s Impact Wrestling viewership number is also the lowest number the show has drawn in the history of the show’s time on POP TV, with the exception of a pair of recap specials which were unadvertised and aired at the end of 2015.

This week’s Impact also featured a big six-man tag team match with Alberto El Patron, Petey Williams and Johnny Impact teaming up, as well as James Storm and Moose calling out America’s Top Team.

As noted, Impact Wrestling has confirmed the show will be on hiatus for the rest of 2017, with new episodes airing again after the first of the year. The first Impact episode of 2018 will be headlined by Alberto El Patron vs Eli Drake in an Impact Wrestling Global Championship match. The bout was taped at last week’s WrestlePro event, as the company continues to tape content at several independent live events for the remainder of the year.
