Ex-OGC Nice owner Chien Lee in talks to buy Ligue 2 side ESTAC Troyes

Our colleagues at Le 10 Sport report that Chinese investor and ex-OGC Nice and current Barnsley owner Chien Lee is in talks to purchase Ligue 2 club ESTAC Troyes.

After being bought out of Les Aiglons last summer by Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s INEOS, Lee continues to look for a new footballing project to immerse himself in, as he continues to retain ownership of struggling Championship side Barnsley.

The outlet claims that Lee has also had conversations about purchasing Ligue 1 club Toulouse and French second division side Auxerre. But, his priority now appears to be Troyes.

Negotiations are ongoing between Daniel Masoni and Lee, and talks are advancing well over a €8m to €10m sale of the team, although we must stress that no deal is done or even very close.

ESTAC are currently in the fight to earn promotion to Ligue 1 this season.
