Fine Adjustment Screws vs. Ultra-Fine Adjustment Screws: What’s

Are you looking for adjustment screws but aren’t quite sure on the differences between fine adjustment screws vs. ultra-fine adjustment screws? We want to help clear up that confusion.

When it comes to comparing fine adjustment screws to ultra-fine adjustment screws, the most obvious difference is the number of threads that the screws have. Ultra-fine adjustment screws have more threads per inch (TPI) compared to fine adjustment screws. Fine adjustment screws contain 40 to 100 threads per inch, where ultra-fine adjustment screws consist of 100 to 500 threads per inch.

In terms of usage, there is a difference between fine adjustment screws vs. ultra-fine adjustment screws. Fine adjustment screws are typically used for applications where precision is needed but travel distance is still relatively large. In comparison, ultra-fine adjustment screws are used when applications require extra precision and travel distances that are smaller.

So when searching for the ideal adjustment screw, remember to take note of two things that differentiate them from each other. The two main differences between fine adjustment screws vs. ultra-fine adjustment screws are their threads per inch and when they are used.
