Liverpool waiting for AS Monaco response after new bid for Thomas Lemar

Premier League side Liverpool are currently waiting on a response from AS Monaco after submitting what is believed to be a 3rd bid for French international attacking midfielder Thomas Lemar.

L’Équipe report that Liverpool’s new offer includes €80m, with €50m payable immediately and the other €30m payable next summer, plus the loan of Belgian international Divock Origi.

At first glance, there are multiple potential problems with that deal from a Monaco standpoint. They are exploring and are in talks for frankly better targets than Divock Origi and are very unlikely to want him. Most of all, they continue to categorically deny any desire to sell Lemar.

At the Principality side, every player has a price. Liverpool wait for an answer on their latest bid, but it is unlikely to be adequate.
