— In what may be considered one of the most unlikely and bizarre rumors going around, Vince McMahon may be looking to bring back the XFL. WWE has filed a trademark for the XFL earlier this summer and according to reports, an announcement may come later in January.

— If this does indeed come to materialize, it’s possible WWE could be working on some other football related endeavor and call it “XFL” rather than relaunching the infamous league which collapsed after only one season in 2001.

— When WWE was reached to comment on the rumor, they didn’t flat out deny or confirm anything but did reveal that Vince McMahon is launching some sort of separate entity to WWE – called Alpha Entertainment – which would focus on “sports and entertainment landscapes, including professional football.”

— With WrestleMania 34 almost around the corner, focus has shifted on potential 2018 Hall of Fame inductees. The rumored list going around is: Bam Bam Bigelow, The Dudley Boyz, Ivory, Kid Rock and the headliner – Bill Goldberg. WWE won’t be officially confirming any names until well into the new year though.
