Hill station of Ooty is arguably one of the most sought after tourist destinations in Tamil Nadu. The ‘Queen of Hills’ saw around 10.5 lakh visitors in April and May, at least 53,000 more than last year.

Now the Tamil Nadu government wants to attract more visitors to the hill station by building a new road which they say will reduce the traffic on the two existing roads.
