Queen Elizabeth II’s Bright Aqua Ensemble Is Trendier Than You Might Expect

Another day, another bright, monochromatic outfit from Queen Elizabeth II.

At a visit to the Corps of Royal Engineers at Brompton Barracks in celebration of their 300th anniversary, the Queen stepped out in an aqua dress-and-coat ensemble, which she topped off with a coordinating hat. Black gloves and a black bag matched the outfit’s black velvet trim—so trendy! She stylishly rode into the barracks in an open top Range Rover, smiling at the adoring crowd.

The 90-year-old reigning monarch is the Colonel-in-Chief of the Royal Engineers and posed with them in a large group photo later in the day. During her visit, the Queen toured the barracks, which serve as the Corps headquarters, getting an in-depth explanation of the building’s design and structure, according to BBC News.

“Your ability to provide a flexible and adaptable force, quickly and without fuss, for the purposes of war fighting, peace building, or disaster relief is world class,” the Queen said in a speech to the troops.
