Lingerie brand Agent Provocateur is voted the coolest fashion brand according to CoolBrands 2008/09 – UK’s shortlist of coolest brands as chosen by a poll of over 2,500 members of the public and the CoolBrands Council. The high-class lingerie chain won over the panel and the public with its eye for detail combining with style and design. The luxury lingerie store comes in at number eight on the CoolBrands 2008/09 list, making it the coolest fashion brand. Other luxury designer brands that made the CoolBrands 2008/09 chart include Manolo Blahnik, Jimmy Choo and Vivienne Westwood. This year Manolo Blahnik moved ahead of Jimmy Choo in the CoolBrands 2008/09 list of the top 500 coolest brands, with Manolo Blahnik moving up the list 23 places and Jimmy Choo slipping down 22 places.

Jacqui Solimon, Agent Provocateur’s UK and Worldwide Press Co-ordinator, commented: “We are delighted to have been selected once again by CoolBrands as the UK’s coolest fashion brand. 2008 has been a particularly exciting year for the brand, we have continued to push the boundaries and provoke thought through our creative collaborations such as our White Wedding campaign with Kate Moss.”

Even though the definition of a cool brand is entirely subjective, CoolBrands’ research has shown the cool factor depends on if they are stylish, innovative, original, authentic, desirable and unique. The CoolBrands selection process as independently administered by The Centre for Brand Analysis Ltd and around 1100 brands were short-listed. Coolbrands has been running every year since 2001.
