MVP has officially announced his departure from Major League Wrestling (MLW). In a statement made via Instagram, the former WWE Superstar made it clear that he would no longer be wrestling for the promotion, and that his podcast, the VIP Lounge, will no longer be producing new episodes for the MLW Radio Network.

“I just wanted to make an official announcement instead of telling everyone individually. MVP is no longer affiliated with MLW in any capacity. Major League Wrestling and I have gone our separate ways, both podcasting and in the MLW Fusion show, for reason that I won’t get into because I still don’t completely understand. It’s professional wrestling. I’ll still be on there for a few more episodes I think; stuff that was already tapped. MLW has an awesome cast of tremendously talented young people, whom I support wholeheartedly. Support pro wrestling. As far as my status, I’m still doing my indie thing. Maybe the VIP Lounge podcast will pop up some day on a different platform, but at the end of the day it’s pro wrestling. Card subject to change.”

MVP made his debut with the promotion at MLW One Shot in 2017 – their first show in more than 13 years – and has competed at every single one of their events since. He was last featured on the June 15th edition of their MLW Fusion television show, and has at least one match (a Boiler Room Brawl against Sami Callihan) that has yet to make air.

MVP announced on June 21st that the VIP Lounge will be going on “indefinite hiatus”.
