WWE has released the following statement:
“Jeff Hardy is personally responsible for his own actions.”
This was expected, as WWE generally doesn’t step in and get involved in these kinds of situations unless there are more serious charges associated.
PWInsider.com is reporting that the fine for a first time incident of public intoxication in Myrtle Beach is seen locally as being “similar to a parking ticket”, in that unless he wants to contest the charges, the fine has already been paid and he won’t even need to appear in court.
