Brock Lesnar Will NOT Be Receiving a Universal Championship Rematch

According to a tweet sent out by Paul Heyman on Monday afternoon, Brock Lesnar will not be receiving a rematch against Seth Rollins for the Universal Championship, after the “Beast Incarnate” lost clean, in the middle of the ring to the Kingslayer at SummerSlam.

“My client Brock Lesnar and I have been apprised ‘no rematch will be granted’ against WWE’s Universal Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins! We find this decision to be arbitrary and patently unfair!”

Take this with a grain of salt. While WWE has technically done away with obligatory rematches, and said as much last December, that still hasn’t stopped them by booking themselves into the same exactly situations time and time again, from one pay-per-view to the next. Just because Lesnar won’t be given a rematch for losing his title, in story, doesn’t mean they won’t write him right back into the title picture.
