Ryback Pushes WWE To Release The Trademark On His Name; “Things Need To Change & Vince Needs To Go”

Former WWE Superstar Ryback Reeves took to Twitter this afternoon with a plea to his old employer to release the tk, tagging both Vince McMahon and Triple H.

“Publicly asking [Vince McMahon and Triple H] to let the Ryback trademark go,” he wrote. “It wasn’t created by them and trying to make someone spend nearly 200K to keep their legal name and brand is petty and unnecessary. Please move on and erase me from your history and programming.”

Ryback left WWE in August 2016 after six years with the company working on television, and another six years including his time in Tough Enough and various developmental brands.

He later responded to a fan claiming, “…things need to change and Vince needs to go.” You can see some of his tweets below.

Publicly asking @wwe @VinceMcMahon @TripleH to let the Ryback trademark go. It wasn’t created by them and trying to make someone spend nearly 200K to keep their legal name and brand is petty and unnecessary. Please move on and erase me from your history and programming. 🙏

Bingo. Majority of wrestlers won’t speak up for fear of being erased or banned etc. I don’t care, things need to change and Vince needs to go. The business will change once sold and he moves on. The schedule they adhere to for his profit needs to be regulated for the talent. https://t.co/dchOnuzWM1
