— Konnan’s kidney replacement surgery on Tuesday afternoon in Tijuana, Mexico was said to be a great success. His donor, who had been arranged through an online drive spearheaded by Georgiann Makropoulos and others, had been discovered by Rob Feinstein and deemed compatible earlier in the week. Konnan hopes to make a full recovery to the point where he’ll be able to return to the ring by the end of the year.

— On ECW on Sci-Fi last night, Big Daddy V took on two unidentified wrestlers. The two guys he took on in the handicap match were Navajo Warrior and an unmasked Phoenix Star. The wrestler John Morrison beat in about 30 seconds is an indy wrestler called Zokre. Zokre is Phoenix Star’s tag team partner in the team ‘Los Luchas’. All three wrestlers regularly compete on indy shows in the California area.
