— Bryan Alvarez noted on the latest Wrestling Observer Live that WWE at one time had plans to market the New Day/pancake gimmick by selling either batter or syrup. The company ended up not going through with that idea but the gimmick was continued and is the reason why they are still pushing it every time we see The New Day.

— Alvarez was also asked on the show about the monetary compensation that Brock Lesnar and Shawn Michaels are going to receive for WWE’s Crown Jewel event next month. He speculated that it’s definitely more than a million and that a good guess is that both of them are making in the area of $3 million for their one match.

— It was noted over the weekend that WWE personalities Mauro Ranallo, Kairi Sane and Io Shirai were all seen in the audience at the NJPW Fighting Spirit show. While people online wondered if this would lead to any sort of heat from WWE for attending, there is nothing at the present time to suggest that the company is upset at any of them and it’s very possible that the appearance was approved.
