Michael Cole experienced the greatness of Rusev in this week’s sit-down interview on WWE’s website.
Joined by Lana, Rusev vowed to eat Kalisto’s heart and crush him for the U.S. Title.
This followed Lana sarcastically talking about people like Kalisto overcoming obstacles and doing nice things, showing they have a “big heart.” She said Rusev will eat that big heart when they face off for the U.S. Title. Rusev added the bigger heart, the fuller his belly.
Rusev also talked about the end of League of Nations. He said it was a bad idea and he should have listened to Lana. They played up a storyline explanation for Lana’s absence during the League’s run that she thought it would be a failure, so she was not ringside during Rusev’s “boys night out” fun and games.
Rusev admitted to being thrown off during the run with The League, but now he’s back to being on his own with Lana looking to regain his U.S. Title.
At the top of the interview, Cole asked where his wedding invitation is for their big wedding. Rusev said he is definitely not invited, then Lana talked about cameras following them around for “Total Divas.” Lana heelishly said it will show how much of a hero Rusev is. Rusev added that he’s used to having cameras in his house and winked at Cole. “For security purposes,” he said after pausing.
