Reds announce Indigenous partnership

Both the Reds and Waratahs will be acknowledging NAIDOC week in matches this weekend.

Queensland unveiled its Indigenous jersey on Thursday morning, a jersey designed by Pillip Yeatman, a member of their ‘Generation Next’ program, an endeavour that works with year 11 and 12 Indigenous students to help them prepare for work and life after school.

The Reds also announced a new partnership with the Queensland government to help Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders in their bid for further education and more employment opportunities.

The Waratahs will warm up in a specially designed Indigenous jersey, ahead of their clash with the Hurricanes on Saturday night.

The T-shirts will be auctioned off to aid the AIME mentoring program as part of NAIDOC Week.
