According to La Provence, Marseille have activated the €11m buy clause necessary to purchase French winger Florian Thauvin outright from Championship side Newcastle United.

Thauvin re-joins Marseille permanently after a largely failed transfer to the Magpies.

Thauvin rejected an offer from Lazio this summer in order to join OM.
