Marseille have completed their second signing of the summer, bringing in veteran Brazilian midfielder Luis Gustavo from Wolfsburg, reportedly for a fee around €8m.

The 29-year-old will bring a new level of experience, versatility and winning mentality to the club, the latter of which he showed in spades during his spell at Bayern Munich, winning the Bundesliga and the Champions League at the Bavarian giants.

As a midfielder, Gustavo is adept at almost anything and will be a welcome addition to Rudi Garcia’s side, joining Valere Germain as the second signing, showing that Garcia is looking for safe players who know how to get the job done.

The Brazilian will join up with his new club later on Tuesday in their training camp in Switzerland.
