AS Monaco sporting director Paul Mitchell confirmed that discussions are taking place between the Principality side and Torino over the permanent transfer of Pietro Pellegri (21) during a press conference.
On a potential permanent transfer for Pellegri, who has spent the second half of the season on loan at the Serie A side, Mitchell said, “Pietro was at Torino. They want to try to find an agreement to obtain his services. We’re in positive discussions, but nothing is concluded.”
Many other players will be heading back to the club after loan spells including Benjamin Lecomte (31), who is returning from Atletico Madrid and Willem Geubbels (20), who returns from Ligue 1 rivals Nantes. Mitchell gave an update on their status as well. “In the main, everyone will be coming back, unless we get an offer we feel is fitting of their qualities and their potential and their profile.”
He also confirmed the permanent departure of Jean-Eudes Aholou (28), who spent last season on loan at Strasbourg. “His loan contract had an obligation to buy, so he won’t return.”
