RMC are reporting that a “power struggle” could ensue between Moses Simon (26) and Nantes should the club reject another bid from OGC Nice for the Nigerian forward.
France-Ouest reported earlier on Wednesday that the Coupe de France winners had rejected a €10m offer for Simon, who made 30 Ligue 1 appearances for the club last season. It was also reported by RMC that Premier League side Leeds United were interested in the player, who has made over 50 international appearances for Nigeria.
RMC are now reporting that there “could be a power struggle” between Simon and Nantes, should the club reject a second bid, which RMC confirmed is expected to be tabled. Simon “clearly really wants to join the Côte d’Azur club,” RMC added. Simon has also already agreed on personal terms on a move to Les Aiglons.
Nantes general manager Franck Kita told reporters on Wednesday that Simon was amongst a group of players that the club would be willing to sell should an “interesting offer” be tabled.
