According to L’Équipe, Angers’ captain and midfielder Cheikh N’Doye is closing in on the signing of a contract extension.

The player had appeared to be on his way out of the Ligue 1 newcomers this month, with a host of Premier League sides including West Brom and Aston Villa lining up to sign the man.

However, today’s report claims that he will in fact sign a contract extension with Angers until 2019. His current deal expires in 2017.
