WATCH: Mark Nawaqanitawase’s AERIAL finish in Waratahs’ win over Rebels

It is not the first time the Wallaby has produced a moment of magic by soaring through the air to score in the corner. This time round his team were attacking on the edge of the Rebels’ 22 from a line-out.

A strong Langi Gleeson carry took them over the gain line before quick ruck ball allowed the ball to be spread wide. By the time the speedster received it he was well covered by the defence until Nawaqanitawase stepped to the outside, risking going out, and took to the air to score a brilliant try in the corner.

It was a score to remember from the New South Wales man.

Earlier on it was the Rebels who broke the deadlock through a try from centre Reece Hodge in the eighth minute. The Wallaby converted his own score to give the Rebels the lead.

The dream start continued with Monty Ioane finishing off a stunning team try five minutes later as Hodge was accurate from the tee once again.

The Waratahs did not lay down and responded through Jake Gordon, who was wise to a Rebels error. Ben Donaldson was on target from the kicking tee to add two more points.

Hodge broke a lull in the scoring with a penalty in the 40th minute before another in the 49th minute in what would be his side’s final points of the game.

From then on, the New South Wales side took the game by the scruff of the neck through Nawaqanitawase’s stunning effort that Donaldson converted.

The fly-half kicked a penalty in the 66th minute before the hosts pushed for a late try and succeeded through Izaia Perese in the 78th minute. Donaldson once again made no mistake from the tee to complete the scoring.
