Speaking in an interview with L’Équipe, 20-year-old French and Bayer Leverkusen winger Moussa Diaby discussed the impact of PSG manager Thomas Tuchel on his career.
“I wanted to leave (PSG) to have more playing time. To be able to express myself and to become a great player. Coach Tuchel gave me a lot of confidence. He is a great coach. He is like my current manager, he is someone who is very close to his players, you want to return the favour.”
“He is the guy who gave me my first professional minutes. It is an enormous sense of confidence. He spoke to me a lot. It is thanks to him that I am here now. Having played me in different positions allowed me to progress. It helped me with my defensive work, my placement.”
