RMC Sport report that Ligue 1 side Lyon are in talks to sign 18-year-old right-winger Facundo Pellistri from Uruguayan side Peñarol.

The teenager has already played 25 matches this season and has a €9m release clause, which Lyon Sporting Director Juninho is trying to negotiate down. At the moment, the Peñarol board have no intention of budging on the release clause valuation.

Pellistri would not count as a non-EU player in Lyon’s squad if a deal is completed, as he has a Spanish passport.

Local media have indicated that Manchester United are also interested in signing the teenage talent.
