Santi Aouna of Foot Mercato reports this afternoon that Montpellier midfielder Téji Savanier has turned down an approach from MLS side Chicago Fire.
The 30-year-old, one of Ligue 1’s most entertaining players of the past few seasons and a member of last year’s French Olympic squad, is nevertheless intent on staying at his hometown club.
The American side were prepared to put a €10m offer on the table, becoming the second MLS side to have reported interest in the midfielder after Los Angeles Galaxy.
