According to L’Équipe, Bayern Munch have opened talks with Barcelona’s French winger Ousmane Dembélé over a free transfer this summer.

With the Bundesliga champions looking to overhaul their squad, Dembélé is the club’s first choice to replace Serge Gnabry who is likely to depart this summer having not agreed a contract extension with the club. The 25-year-old Dembélé was of interest to Bayern in the winter before Kingsley Coman extended his contract in Germany.

Dembélé is still discussing a new deal at Barcelona but Bayern are hoping to take advantage of the Spanish club’s poor finances and will offer the French international a four-year deal with an €18m salary. PSG, however, are also continuing to pursue the player.
