Donegal were ahead 0-5 to 0-4 at the midway mark of normal time but Tyrone moved ahead 0-9 to 0-7 during the second half with David Mulgrew impressing.

Michael Langan (2) and Tony McCleneghan pushed Donegal ahead by a point before Tyrone went in front thanks to points from Johnny Harkin and Brennan.

Yet Langan knocked over the point to ties the teams at 0-11 apiece, sending the game into extra-time where a winner could not be found.
