As noted, WWE Smackdown Live GM Daniel Bryan announced on 205 Live this week that Enzo Amore has “abdicated” the WWE Cruiserweight Title, and a new General Manager of 205 Live will be named next week. The new GM will determine the future of the Cruiserweight Title following Enzo’s release.

According to Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio, the idea of 205 Live having a General Manager is something WWE had discussed months ago, and at one point former WWE star Summer Rae was tapped to fill the role. Meltzer added the idea was eventually nixed as company officials felt Rae was too tall compared to the other talents on 205 Live.

WWE Releasing Rock Book

According to PWInisder.com, WWE and DK will be teaming up to release a book on The Rock, and the hardcover publication is set to be released in October.

The book is described as being similar to that of John Cena’s “Hustle, Loyalty & Respect: The World of John Cena”, which was a 208 page book chronicling the WWE career and character of Cena.

WWE is also slated to release books this year on The New Day, the first 25 years of Raw and a WWE Superstar Guide.
