Interestingly, the entire Ultimate Deletion match was edited out of the Hulu version of last night’s WWE Raw.
While the match seemed to garner mostly favorable reviews from fans on social media, one thing which has fans scratching their heads was Michael Cole apologizing for the match prior to it closing last night’s Raw. While the comment could have just been Cole’s in-character way of continuing to be confused by both Matt Hardy and Bray Wyatt’s “mental states”, it seemed out of place for an announcer to openly dismiss something that has been heavily promoted and headlined WWE’s flagship show.
No word on why Michael Cole made the comment, but it’s possible WWE officials reacted unfavorably to the final version of Ultimate Deletion and instructed Cole to apologize to fans.
