As we noted earlier today, WWE has begun preliminary talks with Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan about a potential return to the company.
Hogan has been absent from WWE since July of 2015, when audio related to his sex tape case against Gawker was released online and featured Hogan making racially insensitive comments. Hogan was subsequently fired from WWE and “scrubbed” from the history books, WWE Network, and no mention of his name was made thereafter.

Today, however, WWE issued the following statement, via PWInsider.com, confirming recent talks with Hogan, which could potentially lay the groundwork for The Hulkster’s return to the company:
“We have had discussions with Terry Bollea (aka Hulk Hogan) about how he can help others learn from his mistakes, however, he is not under any contract with WWE.”
F4WOnline.com is now reporting Hulk Hogan is scheduled to appear at the Los Angeles premiere of the new HBO and WWE Studios movie “Andre the Giant”. Hogan’s attendance at the event will be the first time Hogan has appeared at anything WWE related since he was released from the company back in 2015.
As seen in the official trailer for the “Andre the Giant”, Hogan was interviewed for the movie, which premieres on HBO on April 10th.
