Cathy Kelly on Styles vs Mahal Title Match (Video)

As we noted earlier today, when the upcoming AJ Styles vs Jinder Mahal match was initially announced by Shane McMahon, it was unclear whether or not the bout would air on TV, or be a dark match main event.

Both Styles and Mahal have since cut video promos on the match, and in the video above, Cathy Kelley previews the bout, confirming it will air on TV.

How Lio Rush Avoided Being Fired For Emma Comment

As we reported earlier this week, there was a tremendous amount of heat on WWE NXT newcomer Lio Rush after he Tweeted a comment following Emma’s WWE release which many people took to be inappropriate.

The comment, which has since been deleted, read as follows: “I guess these are the things that happen when you’re not TRULY ready for Asuka.”

Following Rush posting the comment, he received a ton of public backlash, with fellow WWE stars Peyton Royce, Bray Wyatt, Jack Gallagher and more condemning Rush’s Tweet. Shortly after the backlash began to roll in, Rush issued an apology, which you can read below.

According to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, there was said to be so much heat on Lio Rush following his comment, that he was nearly fired from WWE. However, the report furthers his quick apology is what ultimately spared him and his job, and he was not released. The Observer added Rush will have to put a lot of work in if he wants to rid himself of the current heat.
