In what has been and continues to be one of the most controversial angles of the year — at least until Ronda Rousey decided to “expose” the entire wrestling business — everyone’s favorite WCW star Glenn Gilbertti, better known as Disco Inferno, appeared on Impact Wrestling this Friday night to continue his misogynistic diatribe against women’s wrestling.

Disco, who is said to be close friend with Don Callis in real life, infamously appeared on the Impact Press Pass media call in February and stated that he wasn’t “a big fan of women’s wrestling”. He would go on to compare women’s wrestling to the WNBA and claim that he couldn’t even watch the WWE Mae Young Classic because, to him, wrestling was supposed to be about “grown men” fighting each other.

Of course, we later learned after Impact taped several weeks worth of television, that Disco’s heated words were breadcrumbs to set up a much larger program with none other than Scarlett Bordeaux, with whom he actually had a brief run-in last Thanksgiving, donning a turkey costume in a failed attempt to gain the beautiful Knockout’s managerial services.

Disco took to the ring this week, interrupting Scarlett’s in-ring interview with Josh Matthews to question why the gorgeous star would want to get in the ring, claiming that she was “going to suck” if she tried to compete.

“Women’s wrestling hasn’t been any good since it had bra & panties matches,” Disco said. “And since they don’t have bra & panties matches in Impact Wrestling, there’s no reason for you to wrestle!”

That comment earned the former WCW star a slap across the face from Bordeaux, who firmly believes that she can and will “kick his ass” in her Impact Wrestling in-ring debut, set to take place in three week’s time at the promotion’s Against All Odds television special.
