Next week’s episode of WWE NXT will feature a ladder match between Io Shirai and Mia Yim, with the winner earning a major advantage for her respective team at WarGames.

Shirai was recently announced as a member of Shayna Baszler’s team for the upcoming NXT Takeover special taking place later this month, in addition to Bianca Belair and a fourth to be named at a later date. They will take on a team captained by Rhea Ripley, which includes Tegan Nox, Candice LeRae and Mia Yim.

Two women will start the WarGames match, and more competitors will be added one-at-a-time at a pre-determined interval until all 8 are finally in the ring. At that point the match technically “begins”, as neither team can score a pinfall or submission until everyone is eligible.

Shirai and Yim will be fighting to determine which team will have the handicap advantage throughout the bout.
