Saturday night’s WWE SMACKVILLE special in Nashville, TN started off with the announcement that Finn Balor, who was advertised to challenge Shinsuke Nakamura for the Intercontinental Championship, is not currently medically cleared to compete.

According to PWInsider.com, Balor was legitimately pulled from the show and it is not a part of a story, or selling the effects of Bray Wyatt’s attack on Raw. He is reportedly dealing with an illness, and is fortunately not injured.

Ali appeared as the surprise challenge for Nakamura’s title, and although the two had a very good, high-intensity match, he was ultimately unsuccessful. Another bout between the two is rumored for next month’s WWE SummerSlam pay-per-view.
