— Former WWE Diva Trish Stratus’ new television show Stratusphere debuts tomorrow night in Canada on the Travel & Escape Network at 9 p.m. Eastern. In the first episode, Stratus will visit Kochi, India and learn sword fighting. The show runs every Monday night on the station until the first week of November. I believe it’s a Canadian only show as the U.S. Travel Channel doesn’t have any listings for it.
— The official site of the Gwinnett Braves minor league baseball team recently conducted an interview with former WCW announcer Tony Schiavone, 50, who currently serves as the radio play-by-play voice for them. He actually does talk about wrestling in the interview, saying he’ll take being a wrestling announcer “to his grave.” He also added, “I don’t have a problem with it. Wrestling can either help or break your career. I think it helped mine. I’ve been able to survive and move on.” When asked to name the best match he called, Schiavone didn’t mention any. “The one the producer in my ear told me to say at the time,” he said. “A lot of the stuff I said was told to me to say. It was all part of the script. I was just the mouthpiece for better or worse.” {Getting to Know … Tony Schiavone}
— Mick Foley’s profile actually wasn’t totally deleted from WWE.com as it’s now in the WWE Alumni section. His WWE contract expires either today or tomorrow.
