— Eric Bischoff opened last night’s iMPACT! broadcast announcing that due to personal reasons, Scott Hall was no longer with the company and The Band has been stripped of the TNA Tag Team Championship. A tournament is being held to determine who will face The Motor City Machineguns for the vacant belts at next month’s Victory Road pay-per-view.
Furthermore, TNA president Dixie Carter posted a note on her Twitter account concerning Hall. She wrote: “Scott Hall and I talked and together decided he needed time to focus on some personal issues. I am proud of the action he is taking.”
It should be noted, however, that Hall is still listed on the company website.
— Former WWE wrestlers Rosey and Jimmy Wang Yang were backstage at TNA’s live event in Columbus, Ohio this week. Both wrestlers live within driving distance of the show and were visiting friends backstage.
