Lesnar to Leave WWE if He Loses at SummerSlam, Update on CM Punk

A huge stipulation has officially been added to the SummerSlam main event. As you may know by now, the Universal Championship will be up for grabs in a Fatal 4-Way match. The match will see Brock Lesnar defend the title against Samoa Joe, Roman Reigns, and Braun Strowman. Lesnar and Paul Heyman both appeared on this week’s Raw and informed Kurt Angle that, should Lesnar lose the title during the match, both Brock and Heyman will be leaving WWE. Seeing as how Lesnar is rumored to leaving WWE soon for a UFC comeback, this move was surely done to add more intrigue to the match, as well as make fans believe that Lesnar could definitely lose the match.
It’s been relatively quite lately when it comes to discussing the next career move for CM Punk. Some fans have been clamoring for Punk to make a return to wrestling at some point, with even Raw General Manager Kurt Angle and ROH COO Joe Koff both suggesting that Punk should come back. Despite this, CM Punk has not done much of anything ever since losing his debut MMA match against Mickey Gall at UFC 203 last year. He appeared on MTV’s The Challenge, but Punk has not yet announced what the next move in his fighting career will be. It appears that we may now have an update on what Punk will be doing in the future.
CM Punk’s trainer Duke Roufus has let new information get out on Punk’s next big fight on Instagram. He posted an image of a record sheet involving performers in both UFC and Bellator MMA, and the sheet clearly seems to suggest that Punk might have another MMA fight lined up for sometime in the future. Roufus did not mention who Punk’s opponent might be, so it is wise to remain skeptical towards Punk’s MMA career for now. UFC and Dana White have both publicly stated that they have no plans to use Punk and that another fight is “probably not going to happen,” but he does still remain under contract to UFC at the moment.
