WWE to Sign Big Indie Name? Paul Heyman/WWE News, Hawkins Special

While speculation over whether or not WWE will be signing Kenny Omega, The Young Bucks, Rey Mysterio, Fenix, or Pentagon Jr. over the next few months continue to loom forward, but there is another prospect that WWE has been eyeing for a while now who could be on his way into the company soon. In the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, it was revealed that talks between WWE and WALTER have resumed lately. WWE was reportedly set to sign WALTER earlier this year around the same time as Keith Lee, but the wrestler’s deal with Germany’s wXw promotion got in the way. The talks between the two sides are said to be getting very seriously and an agreement will be made shortly.
Former Universal Champion Brock Lesnar is currently on a hiatus from WWE and is believed to be training for an MMA comeback for a future UFC fight against Daniel Cormier. This has left fans wondering if Lesnar’s onscreen advocate Paul Heyman has also left WWE with him or if he is still part of the company. According to PWInsider, Paul Heyman is been working behind the scenes for WWE television in recent weeks. A leaked production sheet from a Raw show in July also listed Heyman as a writer for one segment. Heyman previously worked on WWE’s creative team in the early 2000s, but neither side have confirmed that the former ECW owner is working in a backstage capacity for WWE right now. There is also no word on when Heyman may be back on WWE programming in an onscreen role.
Raw Superstar Curt Hawkins certainly has his fair share of fans, but let’s face it: he’s a loser. In fact, Hawkins is currently on a losing streak of over 200 matches and counting in WWE right now. Hawkins doesn’t seem to mind it though as he claimed a few days ago that he has actually had to fight with WWE creative members to keep the losing streak alive. According to WWENetworkNews.com, WWE will be starting a new series soon dedicated to highlighting some of the best losers in company history, and none other than Curt Hawkins himself will be hosting the show. The matches and videos will be part of a Curt Hawkins: Nothing To Lose collection that is set to be added to the WWE Network this Monday.
