Rusev Day Ending Soon, Mauro on His Smackdown Run, Rousey at MSG

Aiden English and Rusev have truly stumbled upon gold ever since the creation of Rusev Day. The two of them have become one of the most popular acts in the entire company ever since they were partnered together. Unfortunately, WrestlingNews.com has noted that the team will be splitting up very soon. The report says that WWE has no plans to use English and Rusev together as a team, so Rusev will likely turn on English and abandon the Rusev Day gimmick altogether in favor of becoming a “ruthless” heel once again. With Lana once again associating with Rusev on Smackdown lately, it is expected that she will go back to being his manager once the partnership with Rusev and English comes to an end.
WWE fans nearly lost one of the most energetic and enthusiastic voices on commentary last year when Mauro Ranallo left the Smackdown announcer’s booth. When Ranallo originally left the company, it had been reported that former Smackdown commentator JBL may have bullied Ranallo backstage. During an interview with Ariel Helwani on The MMA Hour, Mauro decided to set the record straight on what led to his departure from Smackdown. Ranallo claims that the hectic WWE schedule led to him having a mental breakdown, and that he decided to quit for that reason. Triple H eventually convinced Ranallo to stay with WWE as an NXT announcer, which has a far more flexible schedule the main WWE shows do.
Ronda Rousey in WWE has been a huge hit so far as she continued to shine in the ring during her tag team matches on WWE’s European tour. Now that the tour is over, the time has come for Rousey to focus on her singles debut against Nia Jax for the Raw Women’s Championship at Money in the Bank. After that show concludes, it looks like Ronda’s next big match will be taking place in one of the most famous arenas in the world. PWMania reports that Ronda Rousey will now be in action during an upcoming WWE live event in Madison Square Garden on July 7th. Rousey’s opponent for the show has not yet been revealed, but the show will be headlined by a rematch between Roman Reigns and Samoa Joe.
