After being rumored throughout nearly all of 2018, Vince McMahon confirmed on Raw a few weeks ago that there will be Women’s Tag Team Championships coming to the main roster as some point this year. Fans have been speculating on which team will become the inaugural champs, and the belief for a while now has been that the first titleholders will be crowned at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view on January 27th, but that still has yet to be confirmed by the company. The titles will reportedly be defended on both Raw and SmackDown rather than remain exclusive to just one of the brands. That is pretty much all that has been said on the brand new titles, but some new details about the championships have just been revealed.
BeltFanDan posted some new information on the new Women’s Tag Team Championships relating to the look and original plans for the titles. He states that the championships have gone through a few different design changes over the past few months, and that the original plan was for Sasha Banks and Bayley to win the titles at SummerSlam back in August. After those plans were changed, they were likely set to capture them at the Evolution event in October, but that too was scrapped. Instead, WWE will be debuting them on television within the next few weeks. Interestingly, it was also mentioned that the company has plans to change the designs of some of the existing titles like the Raw and SmackDown Tag Team Championships.
Thanks to @TheTopBananaDW and @HazardF5 for sending me these caps before original post was deleted. I asked around a little and this is what I was told: pic.twitter.com/mzVZHTyOht

December 2018 saw a couple of wrestling couples either get engaged or married. Sarah Logan & Rowe tied the knot, Lio Rush got married, and Aleister Black married Zelina Vega a few weeks ago as well. It looks like another couple in WWE have just gotten engaged. This time around, Performance Center recruits Shadia Bseiso and Nasser Alruwayeh plan on marrying at some point in the future. Bseiso became the first Arab woman to sign a deal with WWE while Nasser is the first Kuwaiti man to work for the company. They took part in a WWE tryout session in Dubai in 2017 and were both eventually signed to contracts. Both of them are currently aspiring NXT Superstars training to land on WWE’s main roster someday.
We’re so happy to share with you the news of our engagement! Wishing you and your loved ones the best year to come!
