AEW and NXT ratings down this week, Dynamite wins every demo

With NBA basketball back after a week off due to the All-Star break as well as stronger-than-usual competition from the news networks, both AEW Dynamite and NXT fell a bit in the ratings this week.

Dynamite averaged 865,000 viewers, down three percent from last week. In the all-important 18-49 demo, the show was also down three percent, averaging a 0.3 rating. That allowed Dynamite to finish ninth in the overall cable TV rankings for that category.

NXT had an average audience of 717,000 viewers, down eight percent. It was their lowest number in 4 weeks. In 18-49, the episode was down 10 percent, averaging a 0.23 rating and finishing 17th in the cable TV rankings.

For the first time, it was a clean sweep for AEW in the demo categories. It beat NXT in every age group, including those over 50. The closest NXT came was in that category with a 0.34 rating to a 0.36 for Dynamite.

Miz & Mrs, which follows NXT on USA Network, fell out of the top 50 in the 18-49 rankings, finishing 62nd with a 0.13 rating. In overall viewers, the show averaged a series-low 394,000.

AEW’s Countdown to Revolution special aired after Dynamite and did a 0.14 rating in 18-49, coming in just ahead of Miz & Mrs in those rankings. Miz and Mrs was ahead in total viewers, with the Countdown special averaging 383,000.
