A Mangalurean, along with his friend, will embark on a two month on All India round road trip from Thursday, covering approximately 16,500 kms to author a comprehensive road safety guide for safer commuting for the benefit of road users titled “An Insight Into Road Traffic Accidents On Indian Motorways.”
Praveenchandra Shetty, who will embark on this tour along with his friend, is a motor insurance surveyor and loss assessor. He says in a fast developing country like India, road safety is more about highway engineering and vehicle architecture than mere over-speeding and drunken driving. “That’s what I have realized after studying the issues over three decade period,’’ says Shetty.
