Happy birthday, Chris Pine! Star Trek’s Captain James T. Kirk turns 37 years old today, and he has the salt and pepper beard to prove it. But long before Pine was a bona fide movie star, he was a young actor vying for our (and Anne Hathaway’s) affection in The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement, his first big breakout role.

Naturally, the handsome star became a sensation, winning our hearts (and major movie roles) with his floppy haired charm. From Star Trek to Into the Woods, Pine quickly made his name in Hollywood after getting a somewhat late start at age 24.

In 2017, Pine played one of the biggest roles of his life as Wonder Woman’s love interest, Steve Trevor, opposite actress Gal Gadot, and the 37-year-old actor has certainly become a distinguished leading man. Between his gray-tinged beard and his luscious brown locks, this blue-eyed bae has never looked better.
