Le 15 juin 2019 était une date à mariages. Tout comme Laura Smet et Raphaël Lancrey-Javal, ou Sergio Ramos et Pilar Rubio, Caroline Wozniacki a choisi ce jour pour s’unir à David Lee. La tenniswoman danoise de 28 ans a épousé l’ancien basketteur de la NBA de 36 ans en Toscane, Italie.
La cérémonie s’est déroulée au domaine Castiglion del Bosco en présence de nombreux invités. Parmi eux, Serena Williams l’une des plus proches amies de Caroline Wozniacki. La star américaine de 37 ans faisait partie des demoiselles d’honneur comme l’attestent des photos publiées sur Instagram. Toutes les demoiselles d’honneur portaient des robes de la même couleur, vert d’eau. Serena Williams est venue en maman célibataire, sans son mari Alexis Ohanian, mais avec leur fille de 1 an et demi, Olympia.

Way before her dress fittings at @oscardelarenta and an epic walk down a 262 foot-long aisle that stretched the length of the cobblestone road bisecting the town square at @castigliondelbosco, there was the meet cute in Miami that started everything. @carowozniacki first crossed paths with @DavidLee at a dinner there three and a half years ago. “We met through a mutual friend of ours,” she recalls. They all went out for a group dinner, where the two hit it off immediately. After a little over two years of dating, he proposed with an 8.88 carat-eight is her lucky number-diamond engagement ring in Bora Bora in November of 2017.
