Macerata-Trento. Here we go again! Lube has shown its primacy on Trento once again. After the winning of the last Italian Championship, Lube has won the “Del Monte Supercup“, the first important award of this new volley season.
More than 700 supporters of Lube Banca Marche Macerata has invaded Modena for one of the most exciting match ever played. Macerata has fought against a brilliant Trento until the tie break, which has ended at 15-11. A memorable day made by a great atmosphere inside the Palapanini arena, two stunning volley teams, lots of fun and an excellent volleyball played at the highest level.
The coach Alberto Giuliani said that it’s been a good night and “the team deserve to celebrate this win, even though there are still some things to fix as i.e. certain attack schemes”. The setter Travica said: “We are happy for this victory, this is a very important trophy, which allows us to start this new season with a lot of enthusiasm. It was a real battle with Trento, which is one of the best volleyball team, let’s say that who makes less mistakes, it wins.”
Ivan Zaytzev, a new entry of Lube Macerata, who has been proclaimed the MVP of the match, said: “I was so thrilled, but we really wanted to win this match and we did it. This is a great team and we’re working hard to improve our efficiency”.
